In a word, No.
Details upon request.
I'm so disappointed. But, yes, ATR, I would appreciate details.
>I record on an iPhone, which I understand PE11 doesn't support
I read so many messages that I rarely remember a message that is more than a few days old (which is why I have a file of links) so I have NO idea if you have seen the link I am about to post
A possible iphone fix in message #22 in this message thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/934466
John, yes, I saw that suggestion the first time around. I bought QuickTime Pro with high hopes, to no avail.
The guy in that thread says "Oh my dear lord. I just wasted two whole evenings trying to figure out why my iPhone 4 videos kept outputting with the sound out of sync in After Effects..."
That's me EVERYtime I need to edit a video. Every one is a nightmare. I can't tell you how much I hate PE11.
But thanks for trying.
