I'm going to try and explain this as best as I can but if people misunderstand please let me know
I've been using InDesign to create a catalogue for the company I work for. The catalogue has a contents page, which I used the TOC settings for, this was easy enough to do, however the sections are spread out over multiple pages. This has meant that it's staggered the pages eg.
I would prefer it to be grouped eg.
Is there a way of doing this without manually changing the contents page, Its a document with over 100 pages, so I'm afraid about the margins of error.
Cheers in advance,
You can't do it with InDesign's Table of Contents.
It can be setup using Cross-References - but it's a bit messy to be honest.
Basically you'll need 2 cross references.
One for the first time it appears on whatever page.
And another for the last entry.
Then use a "-" to separate them.
It's a very manual setup - and frankly with 100 pages - you'd be faster tidying up the TOC that's generated.
