Is there a better way to load an .flv movie into a timeline, so it doesn't delay on playback? I'm using FLVPlayback to load an .flv dynamically.
The movie clip begins after two static images appear, but due to download speeds, it seems to stutter a bit.
Would breaking the movie clip down to frames and placing them in the timeline, frame by frame, work better? That would make the .swf file size larger, of course.
Any suggestions or comments on how to improve this experience?
creating an flv with a lower bitrate will cause less stuttering for users with slower connections. or, start playing your flv, immediately pause it and let the require amount (based on user's download speed and video's bitrate) load before restarting play.
Thanks for that - I should have considered this before. I'm always reluctant to lower the clip quality too much, but I rendered another .flv and I think I'm much better off, performance-wise.
