What do you mean by "Adobe DV" and by "Video out"?

TMav Dec 11, 2013 6:40 PM (in response to Stan Jones)I'm trying to monitor out via FireWire (Preferences/Audio Video Out/Adobe DV. This setup works fine with Premier. But doesn't seem to work in Encore.
I'm trying to fix some issues with screen flicker on menus on SD TVs and thought I'd just monitor on a SD TV rather than having to burn DVDs.

markandrew2222 Aug 1, 2014 1:36 PM (in response to TMav)I have the same issue...Any update on this problem? I have Adobe Encore CS6 not able to preview or even play when I turn on my firewire deck. Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, and even Photoshop work without a problem and even Adobe Encore CS4 works?

Stan Jones Aug 1, 2014 3:46 PM (in response to markandrew2222)Haven't seen anything about this since. Are the audio/video output preferences the same in Encore CS4 and CS6?

First, the two audio/video output preferences in Encore CS4 and CS6 have different looks, as seen in the images below.
But both are going out through DV/Firewire. Premiere Pro CS6 has the same look and settings as Encore CS6 and the Preview goes out to the monitor.
CS4 -first image and CS6 -second image.

Stan Jones Aug 2, 2014 10:36 AM (in response to markandrew2222)Thanks for the info. The problem is interesting in light of the different interface. I do not use it, and have no ideas.
