If you just got the project, and you're new to RH in general, stick with X5. The output formats from X5 *are* still supported, so you're not losing ground there. You'll likely be a lot more confident doing a conversion after you've used the product for awhile and better understand how things work and what files do, etc.
Thanks Kathy! Your advice supports the direction I was leaning.
When you do upgrade to 7, check back in the forums. There have been some posts about issues people have had, so if you run into any snags, it may be ground that's already been covered. My own switch from 6 to 7 went pretty seamlessly.
I had major bumps and bruises trying to go from 5 to 6 - but the 5 to 7 trip was almost painless. If you do upgrade, and you will have to eventually, skip right to 7.
I am definitely pleased with v7 enhancements. We didn't go the TechComm suite route (yet), but I am looking forward to the integration the suite will bring with the other Adobe apps I use.
