    Fonts Problem!

    Meerblau
      Hi!

I am creating a website in FW CS3 (Mac Leopard), using Arial (Monotype) 12.
When I turn antialiasing off, the font looks really bad. What could be the Problem?
Thanks for help! And sorry about my bad English ,-)

Anti Alias is the process of smoothing the edges of the font to blend with the background. Turning this off basically removes the smoothing, thus causing the font to look jagged.

Fireworks offers many ways to either show what the font would look like if you were to create graphic text (meaning that you export your text as an image), and even the ability to match they text handling of your system. This is what I use when my goal is to mock up a site and then show the text that I plan on keeping as html/css text. This option is in the Property inspector, second from the bottom in Alias text options.
