I created a PDF form from a word doc and I have one particular text box that I'd like populated with 1 of 4 possibilites. I have a list on a previous page for "payroll frequency" and the user is able to check off one of 4 boxes for weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly. I have a text box further down in the document that I would like populated automatically with one of these based on what the user checks off.
Example: My employees are paid ________________.
Is this possible? Thanks in advance!
Yes, it certainly is. Are the other fields a radio-button or check-box group? If so, you can enter these texts as the Export (or Choice) values for each field in the group and then use a simple script like this one as the custom calculation script of the text field (let's say the name of the radio-button group is "payroll frequency"):
event.value = this.getField("payroll frequency").value=="Off" ? "" : this.getField("payroll frequency").value;
The other fields are check-box type. My next question would be that I guess it changes the code in the example you provided?
Thanks for the response!
Not if they have the same name but different export values.
