problems after trying to install CUDA software on computer without CUDA hardware

I also am having these issues - Specs: Mac Pro (not MacBook), installed Ram 32GB - 8 CPUs (5 allocated for After Effects) -  1.9TB har drive space on main drive with a second hd 202GB available. Three monitors plugged into the  ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB graphics video card. I attempted to install CUDA today, doesn't seem to help or didn't work.

SwissPL, CUDA is an NVIDIA technology. Trying to install it with an ATI card is only going to cause problems.

There are 8 pages of talk in this thread. I'm not sure which of the issues you're having at this point. Perhaps it would be more beneficial for you, once you've removed your attempts at adding CUDA, to create a new thread (perhaps linking to this one) where you explain your specific problem.

Szalam is correct. Don't try to install CUDA software on a computer without CUDA hardware.

Make sure that you have the most recent updates for After Effects and your graphics card drivers. Remove CUDA software from your computer that doesn't have an Nvidia CUDA card.
