I want to create a loop for my simple motion graphics created in AE, but cannot activate Interpret Footage. I am definately selecting the composition in the project folder. (see image), but the Interpret Image is still light grey when try to activate it.
The project has already been rendered but wouldn't think that that should matter.
Thanks in advance!
AFIAK, you can't choose to interpret footage on a composition - just footage and other assets.
The easiest way to make a loop would be to duplicate your comp a number of times and then use the Sequence Layers animation assistant to get them all lined up in order.
i've got over 50 layers becuase its a bunch of blinking eyes. So if I export it and bring it back as a single video layer will that work? I think yes, but just incase....
That would work.
Alternatively, you can do the duplication as I suggested and simply precomp all those duplicates.
Or, you can apply time remapping to the precomp and use a loopOut expression to make it loop. Then you just have to extend the animation comp layer to the end of the main comp.
