Nobody can help you without system information and other details. For all we know you could have some problem with your harddrives... And well, if you rely on the recovery without regularly saving, then you seriously need to reconsider your workflow...
When Photoshop CS6 and or CC is installed properly and your user id Photoshop preference File handling has Automatically Save Recovery Information check
there should be a user id Photoshop recovery folder for each version of Photoshop autorecovery is enabled for. The location varies for OS versions and Photoshop installation configurations. You user ID also needs to have write rights to these folders. Locate them and make sure you can write to them. These folders are empty normally. On My Windows 7 systems I see mine are:
"C:\Users\John J McAssey\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\AutoRecover" and
"C:\Users\John J McAssey\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\AutoRecover"
