    Black bars when I export?

    farmerdwightks Level 1

I have a video of type .MOV that is 1280x720 at 60 fps.  I'm trying to covert it to .AVI so I can edit it with

      VirtualDub.

I'm using the "AVI" option, "Microsoft AVI" preset.  I've tried several of the Video Codecs like "DV NTSC" and I changed the Width and Height to 1280x720.  The video exports to 1280x720 but with black bars on the left and right so my video is squished.

Can you tell me all the settings I need to choose to simply maintain everything about my original video but convert to .AVI?

      Thanks!

I am assuming that you are using Premiere Elements 11 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit. Based on what your system probably has at this time...

Based on a ".MOV that is 1280 x 720 at 60 fps", have you looked at

          Project Preset

          NTSC

          AVCHD

          AVCHD LITE 720p60

          Publish+Share

          Computer

          AVI

and with Presets = Microsoft AVI, under the Advanced Button/Video Tab

          AVI.JPG

Is the resulting file size acceptable for you with this kind of export?

Please let us know if this works for you?

          Thanks.
