    Why am I getting this display glitch on iOS7?

    quelquecosa

      Hi friends,

      Has anybody experienced a glitch on iOS7 where an animation wont display correctly until the window is "resized"?

      On mobile safari + chrome on iOS7 there is no way to resize the window. I have found that the fix here is to rotate the phone, and bring it back. But this is obviously not a SOLUTION, just a USER-hack.

      Below are two screenshots, for your examination:

      - screenshot 1: How it looks when it loads initially. (BAD, half of the image doesnt show up)

      - screenshot 2: How it looks after rotating the phone to horizontal position, and then rotating back to vertical. (GOOD!!)

      I want it to look like screenshot 2 when it loads initially (AND ALL THE TIME...).

      Want to ennunciate that this ONLY happens in ios7.

      Any solutions / suggestions ?

      Thanks, happy holidays

          Hard to tell without seeing the source, but try this:

          Set a meta tag before your closing </head> tag to target the device:

          <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no" />

          You can fiddle around with the properties. It seems iOS7 is particularly finicky about having these meta properties set.
