I'm trying to do a relatively simple motion track. Image over video. I select the tracked layer and set the track points.
I analyze then apply to the layer. When I do this, the image I'm tracking rotates sometimes 90 degrees. Other times
it just moves to the left or right and tracks from there. I haven't changed anything in the set-up. I also tried using
a null and tracking that then parenting the image, but the same thing happens. This has happened to me before
but it was a while ago and I don't know what fixed it. I must be doing something wrong, but I seem to be following
all the tutorials. Any thoughts?
Make sure all your keyframes are linear or simply delete the offending keyframes. You probably have spikes in adjacent keys using Bezier interpolation with extreme value differences. Verify that in the graph editor.
Thanks. I don't think there are offending keyframes because the image stays off kilter as the tracking happens
correctly. I can't delete a couple of keyframes up front and sole the problem.
I can't seem to make this work. If I reposition the image after linking it to the null, it stays there and follows the tracking. Strange. But when I first apply the tracking keyframes, the image is somewhere off or rotated and
