I believe this is a known issue when you leave ID open and the system goes to sleep.
Thanks for the reply, Peter.
Interestingly, It is actually happening while I am working on the file!
As a work-around, I am copying the file to my desktop, rather than the OS X Server
where I normally keep my job files. But it is a pain to keep copying back and forth.
You might want to check your network connection...
The network connection seems OK. No other programs (PS or AI) are having any issues at all,
and all of my server HD icons remain on my desktop.
Any other ideas? Should I trash my preferences and rebuild them?
That is all I can think of.
Won't hurt, but probably won't help. Does this happen with more than one file?
Yes - I have two files that it is happening to: a 24-page newsletter file and a 16-page catalog file.
Also interesting, is that in both cases, there are InDesign lock files ".idlk" in both of those job folders
(on the server) that I am unable to delete - even when indesign is closed down.
I sure appreciate your staying with me on this issue!
Just hose and others work, or you've only see it on those two so far?
There's not a lot more I can do for you. This really sounds like a network permissions issue of some sort.
