Thanks, Stevie. Is there a workaround to losing scene selectability going to mpeg, i.e. exporting as dv-avi? Does Premier Pro do this? RE audio, does selecting 'mpeg audio' instead of dolby give me more volume? ( I am actually using my Denon receiver for audio check and even IT is low on the conversion). Many thanks, buddy.
Scene selection is based on interruption of the timecode; turning camera off and on.
When exporting to dv-avi there is one continues timecode, so no scene selection.
There are some programs that can do optical scene selection but its not very accurate.
This is only for DV: http://www.scenalyzer.com/
