Why are you doing it that way. You can assign a click event to a text in animate directly.
Otherwise why use animate?
The requirements of the project dictate it. The text field is a long policy document that the user needs to scroll through to read. The button is required to be within the scrolling field.
I found another way to do it though. I created the button in Edge itself and layered it under the parent's group. It took some guess and check to place it in the right location under the text however since the text is generated in the code and the button is on the stage.

I guess you used auto or scroll for your text. You could add code for the button to appear when the text has totally scrolled. Grouping was a good idea. text should be set to auto for scroller to appear.
