Will acrobat do this or not?

I want to create a contract, send it to a person, be able to have them draw OR type in their name, and send it back without having to print it out. Can Acrobat (with out the EchoSign thing) do this or not? I can not find a straight forward answer to this question.

      Windows 8-64.

Yes it can. That is, you can create the PDF in Acrobat and send it to someone who is using Acrobat/Reader 10/11 and they will be able to add an e-signature (using the EchoSign tools), save the document, and send it back to you. You should not Reader-enabled the document, include any digital signature fields, or otherwise add security restrictions that would prevent such changes.
