New user to Adobe Premiere Elements 12:) I would like to burn home videos of my daughter from my computer to a DVD which can be played in a regular DVD player. Can this be done with Adobe Premiere Elements 12? I recorded the movies on my iphone (.mov) and have already transferred them to the computer and converted them to (MPEG-2), however, I have Movavi video conversion software so I can convert them into any format needed. Not even sure if Adobe Premiere does video conversion as well and definitely would not be opposed to using it to convert the files. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You definitely don't want to convert your video using a third party program before you bring the video into Premiere Elements. This often turns it into a format that Premiere Elements can't work with.
You should be able to add your video directly from your iPhone to your project and get much better results.
Once you do, you can of course output a playable DVD using Publish & Share/To Disc with the DVD option.
My free 8 part Basic Training tutorial series at Premiere Elements support site Muvipix.com should help you with these basics.
