1. Re: How this retirement will affect Shared review users?
Rebecca Staley Jan 6, 2014 11:35 AM (in response to Kriss_1700)Hi there,
Thanks for your question. Workspaces will no longer be available as a distribution option for PDF files in a Shared Review (although you can still initiate Shared Reviews using an internal server, such as a SharePoint workspace, a network folder, or a web server folder).
While Workspaces will no longer be available for posting those PDF files, Acrobat.com (http://files.acrobat.com) is an excellent alternative for uploading your files. You can make your uploaded files public, and share the file's unique URL with reviewers. For more information about uploading and sharing files with Acrobat.com, please see: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat-com/help/files.html
Please let us know if you need any clarification or further assistance.
Best regards,
Rebecca

fgasoi Jun 6, 2014 3:45 PM (in response to Rebecca Staley)Could you please indicate how SharePoint is to be used for this purpose?
The current Acrobat Shared Review generates both local and cloud copies of
the review document and sends an email with the link. How is this
functionality to be implemented with SharePoint?

bob.treitman Jan 8, 2014 12:05 PM (in response to fgasoi)Take a look at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/preparing-pdf-review.html#choosing_a_distribution_opt ion_for_reviews_and_forms
The section of interest is under Internal Server.
If you have additional questions about using SharePoint for Shared reviews, the forum to ask them in is http://forums.adobe.com/community/acrobat/collab
Hope this helps!

6. Re: How this retirement will affect Shared review users?
Nyanthegod May 15, 2014 11:51 PM (in response to Rebecca Staley)I was using Adobe online services for shared reviews until a couple of days ago without problems. There was a maintenance of Adobe serves yesterday so I hosted a shared review file on our company server. Now when I try to do a shared review, the Adobe online servies option is completely gone even though the maintenance is completed. My colleague can still send share reviews using Adobe online servies though. Why is that?

7. Re: How this retirement will affect Shared review users?
bob.treitman May 30, 2014 6:13 AM (in response to Nyanthegod)For Acrobat XI, X and 9 users, when you select “Send for Shared Review” in your Acrobat software, the option to download and track comments with Adobe online services will no longer be available. You will still be able to initiate Shared Reviews from within Acrobat using your own internal server – such as a SharePoint workspace, a network folder, or a web server folder – to collect comments.
I suspect that you and your colleague are running different versions of Acrobat. The ability to use Acrobat.com Workspaces for Shared Reviews was removed as of the most recent update to Acrobat.

bob.treitman Jun 4, 2014 6:22 AM (in response to Nyanthegod)Please check the versions of Acrobat (from the About Acrobat dialog) that you and your colleague are running. The option for using Acrobat.com Workspaces has been phased out with the latest update -- 11.0.07.
