Is the network server connected via SMB protocol? If so, try using CIFS instead -- MacOS 10.9 has known problems in it's SMB protocol.

69 Krumbz Jan 6, 2014 11:02 AM (in response to 69 Krumbz)Thanks Chris. I would go in and change that but I'm thinking it has something to do with Adobe apps because files like .jpeg's I can open with other programs without any issue.

If you are connected via SMB, then it's not just Adobe apps. Again, MacOS 10.9 has some well documented problems with the SMB protocol that affect all applications (even the Finder).

69 Krumbz Jan 6, 2014 11:39 AM (in response to 69 Krumbz)I can navigate to the files using finder, I can even open the files in other applications (non-Adobe) so everything appears to work properly except for opening the files using the Adobe Photoshop CC. I had also read about the problem with SMB vs. SMB2 and even Mac's new SMBx but this issues doesn't feel as though it will be resolved by changing the file transfer protocol considering the transfer is working properly for non Adobe applications.

Just try using CIFS and see if it avoids the well known MacOS bugs.

6. Re: Trouble opening files on a network server using Adobe CC apps
69 Krumbz Jan 6, 2014 12:09 PM (in response to 69 Krumbz)Well I was about to use the CIF but since I was connected to the server I went ahead and "ejected" it, then reconnected using SMB and whalla, all files open as expected. I can only speculate as to what was used to make that original connection but it would appear that whatever that was did cause the issue. Thanks for your help Chris.
