1. Re: Dynamic Linking to Speedgrade Problems
JSS1138 Jan 8, 2014 1:29 PM (in response to jborcherding)For starters, the feature connecting PP to SG is actually called Direct Link, not Dynamic Link. They sound similar but do behave differently.
The first difference is that you must close the PP project containing those sequences before you can open them in SG. Likewise, you must close them in SG before you can open them back up in PP.
I point this out because it's unclear which program you're having trouble with, Premiere Pro or SpeedGrade.

2. Re: Dynamic Linking to Speedgrade Problems
jborcherding Jan 8, 2014 1:38 PM (in response to JSS1138)I am unclear which one is having the problem as well. I close speedgrade after saving then it directly opens premiere. The premiere project is also housing nearly 100 gb of HD video. I think it has to be something to do with the Dynamic linking to multiple sequences within the same project. Since a project that is not dynamic linked to speedgrade plays just fine at full resolution I think it is somewhere in the link between Speedgrade and premiere.
Thanks

Well, it's pretty simple. As you can't use both at the same time on any given sequence, which program are you actually using when you are having the problem? Sounds like Premiere Pro?
