Are you logged-in as an Administrator user? Try this: download the installer from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_ax.exe and save it to disk, then close all browser windows, right-click on the downloaded installer and select Run as Administrator.
I did what was sugested and i got the same result. This is the exact message that I get:
A required file (C:\windows\syatem32\Macromed\Flash\activex.vch:5) could not be written due to insufficient permissions.
Any more suggestions?
Download this file: Take ownership.zip
Unzip it, and double click the ".reg" file it contains.
Clikc "Yes" and "OK" to install it.
You will now be able to take "root level" ownership of ANY file or folder on your system.
Right click your C drive and select "Take Ownership".
A command prompt window will open as the new permissions are applied. (It takes a while to do the entire drive)
Once it's finished, you can modify or delete any file or folder on your system.
