What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
Where did your installation files for Premiere Elements come from....an Adobe installation disc or installation files downloaded from Adobe or elsewhere?
John T. Smith's suggestion to contact about this matter is well taken. I have not run into this issue working with several different versions of Premiere Elements. Today or ever.

I installed Premiere Elements using the Adobe downloader. It definitely came from Adobe directly and I do not necessarily suspect the program but the web site where the help is given. It was there that I kept getting redirected to other sites, which I left immediately.

Lately, I have been seeing a pop-up on my broswer, Chrome, for installing Adobe Shockwave, but that message is NOT coming from Adobe. It's from a 3rd party, and actually installs much more, than Shockwave. However, the message "seems" to be from Adobe on updating part of their Flash Player package - ShockWave.
I think that more companies are basically hacking into browsers, to use pop-ups for their own software.
Even with Chrome's blocking functions, and a combo of Norton AV, plus StopZilla, that Shockwave one keeps getting through.
What anti-virus, and anti-malware software are you using?
