Error Authorizing DE

"You can only authorize this computer with an Adobe ID that hasn't been previously used to authorize any other computer or mobile devices. Please try again."

I used my Adobe ID to authorize an app on my iPad in order to read a couple books downloaded to my computer. That is the only device I have ever authorized with my Adobe ID; my computer would be the second.

Isn't the whole point to be able to authorize multiple devices? Why does it say I can't authorize more than one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is extremely frustrating! Thanks!
