Thin blue line along image edge where gradient feather is used

    DesignKiwi Level 1

      Hi there,

I'm using IndesignCC to create an E-Brochure for a client.

I've used background images in places and used a gradient feather to fade the image out on one side. The problem is when I export to PDF 5.0 or higher and then view it in Acrobat, there is a thin line marking the edge of the image, even though the image at this point is transparent.

There are no background colours or strokes and I've exported at different resolutions using both print and interactive export options to no avail.

It's possibly an Acrobat display issue as it seems to disappear and reappear depending on the zoom level, however it's not really good enough for me to tell the client to have it at a particular zoom level or have something switched on or off in Acrobat when they're presenting it to someone on screen. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do from InDesign to prevent this problem occurring.

Please see images below - any suggestions much appreciated!

      Thanks a lot!
