Can I create a hotspot within a slideshow?

    JerryPF Community Member

I would like to navigate to the next slide in a slideshow via a hotspot on the current slide. There are the usual navigation controls with the slideshow, but I want an extra one in a particlular position.

Each slide contains image and text as a full-screen jpeg, with just the slideshow facility added via Muse. My first slide has an image that resembles the forward button, and the instruction 'Click'. The following slide is a repeat, but with the completed text. If I use an invisible box as a hotspot (no fill, no stroke) positioned over the duplicate forward button, what html code would make the slideshow move onto the next slide?

I've copied the html for this to: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/23832705/Yr3_M01_CL07_Asset01_HTML/index.html

      Thanks, Jerry

          Hi Jerry

Not sure if I have understood properly , but if you are referring to "Next" and "Previous" buttons then you can modify them accordingly.

The page link that you have mentioned does also contains next and previous buttons , if you want the images for backward and forward in your slide show then you can use the image as Fill for next and previous boxes.

Alternatively , if you want to place a button (hotspot) on the image itself , then you can drag the next button over image , make it no fill , so that on click it would take to next image.

          Thanks,

            Thanks Sanjit

In this instance I wanted an extra, or second forward button, just on this particular slide of the slideshow. If I move the next button, and make it invisible, that will apply to the whole slideshow. I could duplicate the slideshow onto another page (screen), but how can I get the same fade transition I'm getting between slides? And might it lag due to load time?

              Hi Jerry

Slidehow on a page and duplicate on another page with Fade transition effect on pages would not be possible at current stage.

              Thanks,

              Sanjit
