1. Re: Adv. Action expression not working
Lilybiri Jan 14, 2014 5:33 AM (in response to Sreekanth_S)How and when do you trigger the advanced action? Wondering if this is perhaps a used keyword, try something as v_average (one of the reasons I always choose those two characters to start a variable name, know that Rod doesn't agree).

Sreekanth_S Jan 14, 2014 6:21 AM (in response to Lilybiri)Hi Lilybiri
Though it might sound as a wishlist, I was hoping that the advanced action I created will somehow run in the background and I can just populate its result in a text box.
I have tried by changing both the variable names, but there was no difference in the result.
These values basically populate on the last slide. So, I will now execute the advanced action on entering the slide and check. Thanks for your inputs.

3. Re: Adv. Action expression not working
Lilybiri Jan 14, 2014 6:48 AM (in response to Sreekanth_S)Each advanced action has to be triggered by an event, background is not possible at all. Most of those events are slide or object events, questions and quiz have events as well:

But I'm still puzzled why the default value of your variable is not showing up in the shape used as container. Did you insert it using the Format accordion to be sure that it has exact the same name?

4. Re: Adv. Action expression not working
Sreekanth_S Jan 14, 2014 6:54 AM (in response to Lilybiri)Yes, I used Format accordion to insert the variable.
Anyway, I have now triggered the adv. action on entering the slide and it works fine now.
