I Heard in an adobe guide that it is possible to skip existing files, when you make your own render settings you have the option ''skip existing files'' . I have tried it but I dont know how it works...

If you're rendering into a format like AVI or MOV, you cannot pick up a render where you left off.

This is why you should render long or complicated compositions as image sequences.

You can pick up rendering of an image sequence at any frame you would like. Heck, you could have multiple computers rendering different frames from your image sequence too for a primitive render farm.

Image sequences will be read as video files in any NLE (like Premiere) and can be easily paired with audio and rendered into your final deliverable that way.
