I cannot update to newest version since I keep getting a notification telling me to close 'DashBoard Client'. The only thing open on my iMac is 'Finder'.....??

Open the Activity Monitor.

Under CPU, sort by Process Name, and one at a time, Stop ALL processes named "Dashboard".
