I am wanting to render "temp" files that will be brought right back into after effects or placed in PrPro for eventual rendering for Youtube or Vimeo. I am hoping that by rendering the components for comps I wont be changing, I can speed up the editing process but wondered if I might be setting myself up for degrading the images because of the multiple times through the wash, so to speak.
I am wondering what the best render settings choice is if I am going to be running a rendered output through another iteration of either After effects or PrP before the final product?
Comps are set at 1080p, 29.97 fps.
Output is H.264 t @ 1080p, 29.97 fps.
The concept of rendering certain elements that are locked down to be used in your comp later is called pre-rendering. It's done a lot. If you render to a lossless file (such as Quicktime with the PNG codec at high quality), it will have 0 loss of quality.
