I'm using Flash on my Mac (OS X 10.9.1) and it's stopped working. I get the following error message:

Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)

Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000

Do a "clean install": How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X

What is ClinicalExamination app? Is that what you were using when it crashed?

It may require the standalone Player (Projector) Macintosh Flash Player 12 Projector

You'd need to copy that (standalone player) to the Contents/MacOS folder of the ClinicalExamination app by right clicking it and selecting "Show Package Contents"

Thanks Mike. I'd already done the 'clean install' twice... but still got that error message.

Yes, Clinical Examination is a DVD. It had worked previously using flash (this was the default option) but doesn't work now (i've upgraded to Mavericks in the meantime, but not sure if that's the problem).

I downloaded the flash projector as you suggested. I found the Content/MacOS folder as you suggested too (it contains a Flash Player 'Unix Executable File'). I tried to copy the new standalone player to this folder, but it wouldn't let me drop it in.

Any further ideas?

"I tried to copy the new standalone player to this folder, but it wouldn't let me drop it in."

Nope... You CAN'T copy it to the DVD. It's a "read only" medium.

What you'd need to do is copy the contents of the DVD to your HD and THEN replace the Projector with version 12.

You could then make a DMG of the contents and run the app from there.

More thsan likely, it's finding a version conflict between the Projector in the Contents/MacOS fodler and the newer one you've installed.

Does ClinicalExamination run in its own UI or does it use Safari?
