    InstallAnywhere is horrible

As a user of unix variants, the concept of a self extracting & executing file makes me uncomfortable.

The InstallAnywhere script is poorly written and because of this it is absorbing a significant portion of my time. Unlike the ms/apple masses the unix crowd is savy and understands OS fundamentals; this creates a situation where "auto install" options and whatnot are generally viewed negatively, and deep procedural explanation and documentation are revered.
