    Elements 11 - Premiere 12

    jaapkkkk Level 1

      Hallo forum,

I think that you are running into the concept of Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements integration which is requiring Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere Elements 11 or Photoshop Elements 12 and Premiere Elements 12 instead of a mixture. When integrated sets (examples 10/10, 11/11 or 12/12) are on the same computer, they share the same Elements Organizer database. Each program is a standalone program with its own Elements Organizer.

Besides the matters related to images in the Elements Organizer, there is the Slideshow Editor Output option involvement where, without program integration, you can lose the Burn to DVD, Edit with Premiere Elements Editor, and a subsequent Break Apart Elements Organizer Slideshow command later in Premiere Elements workspace.

So, integrated sets are suggested, either 11/11 or 12/12.

However, in your case, have you looked into converting the Photoshop Elements 11/Elements Organizer 11 catalog in Elements Organizer 12? If you need details on that, do not hesitate to ask. It is done in the Elements Organizer 12, File Menu/Manage Catalogs/Catalog Manager.

Please review the above, do some exploration and experimention, and then let us know if any of the comments worked for you.

            Thanks.

              Hallo Forum,

                jaapkkk

I am not Adobe. And, I am not affilated with it in any way. That is important for you to know in view of my suggestions to follow.

If the Premiere Elements video editing meets your video editing needs, then consider

                1. Replacing your Photoshop Elements 11 with Photoshop Elements 12 to go with your Premiere Elements 12

                or

                2. Shopping around to find a copy of Premiere Elements 11 to go with your Photoshop Elements 11.

From what you wrote, it would appear that converting the Elements Organizer 11 catelog in Elements Organizer 12 of Premiere Elements 12 is not a consideration for you.

Best wishes in whatever your decision is on this matter.
