What error message occurs when you try to run the program?
Which Mac and which operating system? (be specific... not just OSX, give the number such as 10.8.5)
Thanks John, its a macbook air OS X 10.9.1. I run the download assistant and get "The same version of the application you opened already exists on this system. Would you like to run the version already installed?" I hit the "run now" button and nothing happens.
It sounds like something went wrong with your installation or uninstallation.
Try using this cleaner tool to remove the program completely and then reinstall it.

What is the OS and version ?
What is the Graphics Card installed on the system ?
How much Ram do you have ?
Do you use any external Hard Drive ?
Are you using security software e.g. Norton, etc ?
If windows, Please check if you have windows defender turned on ?
