Breaking down xmlstring

    Santanu Karar Level 1
      Hi,

I'm getting some xml node like this..

      <type>Office</type><idc>+1</idc>

      where the
tag actually having a string like thing :- <type>Office</type><idc>+1</idc>

What would be the easiest way to get the "idc" value from that string..?! perhaps to pass the data to some specific object container .. or something! or whatever..!

      Please help!

      Thanks.

I think you will need to decode that manually, with a search/replace on the entities. Then use XML() to parse the string into an xml object, on which you could then use e4x expressions to locate the data you want.

Note that in you example, your string represents an XMLList, and not a single node. XML() might handle this correctly for your, look it up. If not, prepend some root node tag and append som closing root tag.
