    Retrieve text from user input

    lukea37
On the first frame of my presentation the user is prompted to enter their name. On the second slide I would like it to display the users name that they entered on the first frame. Is there an easy way to do this?

      Any help appreciated.

      Cheers,

Relatively easy. Assuming both the text entry and display members are
#field or #text members, you could attach the following (behavior) to
          the text entry sprite:
          --
          global gUserName

          on endSprite me
          gUserName = sprite(me.spriteNum).member.text
          end
          --

and the following to the display sprite on the subsequent frame:
          --
          global gUserName

          on beginSprite me
          sprite(me.spriteNum).member.text = gUserName
          end

That is exactly what I want!! I have tested and is working.

            Thankyou very much!
