jamiemac2005, you can quickly find *everything* that's knowable about
movie clips by looking up the "MovieClip class" entry of the ActionScript
2.0 Language Reference. Like just about everything in ActionScript movie
clips are objects, and objects are defined by classes. The MovieClip class
is your owner's manual for movie clips. Things they can do are called
methods (this is true for all objects in Flash); things they can react to
are called events; and characteristics they have -- such as what frame
they're on -- are called properties. All class entries have one or more of
those three categories. Very nicely organized, as it turns out.
