I am currently transferring home video VHS tapes (camcorder VHS) to DVD's, the s/w that I am using will stop recording during the "fuzzy" periods between recordings on the tape, it gives a status message of "no signal". How does Premiere Elements treat these "fuzzy" periods between recordings on the VHS tape? Will it record through the no signal area or will it stop when the video signal is weak?
You can set Premiere Elements up to ignore these fuzzy points.
However, you'll be way ahead of the game if you use a DV bridge to digitize your video instead of a capture card or other lower-end device ( which commonly don't create videos that are compatible with third-party video editors).
The Grass Valley/Canopus AVDC is one of the best and most affordable. This article gves you more information.
Steve, Thank you for the advice. Looks like a good investment.
