I'm doing the Lynda.com Ae CS6 videos and Chapter 6 covers 3D.
With a 2 Node Camera they demonstrated how to pan three different ways using a 3 button mouse.
I'm on a Mac Mini with a Magic Mouse and I also have a Logitech TrackPad.
Is there a way to emulate a center button with either of these or would I need to connect my Microsoft mouse to do the center button pans?
The mouse buttons are just a convenient way to activate the same tools that you can choose from the Tools panel:
I got that from the video, but I was just curious if there was a way to "fake it" with the hardware I have. A little more "on the fly", if you will. I checked out the Microsoft Mouse and it works for the center button functions, but it gets crowded with all three pointing devices on my desk. I'll probably just resort to using the tool options.
Ae is pretty complicated to learn. So many shortcuts and so many different places to use each set. I like what I can do with it though.
Learned Premiere, and Encore is next.
