Do I have to publish public in order to proof social sharing in my folio?

I have tried everything to proof my folio for social sharing before going public. Nothing works. If I create a custom developer app it becomes my app and replaces my existing app and causes issues with my newsstand. If I create a custom viewer app you can't see the heads up display for social sharing. If you just use the latest Adobe Content Viewer it doesn't work there either. I don't want to publish public and then proof, that defeats the purpose of proofing. Am I missing something? I have read all of the info links sent to me. I have tried I think everything i can. Is is just not possible to proof social sharing? My folio is a v29 multi pro edition and I haven't submitted my app for v29 yet. I have updated it in app builder but haven't submitted it to apple. I am still in the proofing process.

Yes, you need to publish as public to test social sharing. If you don't want to publish folios as public because the app is already in the store, you might want to set up a different application account for testing purposes. You can share/copy the folios from one account to the other and publish as public. Create or edit an app that points to that account.
