I found lots of information in the docs about event
propagation (capture, target and bubble phases) in DisplayObject
based trees, and also about how to create and dispatch custom
What i couldn't find is more info on how i would dispatch
custom events in a custom object tree (which isn't necessarily
DisplayObject based), so that they propagate from the root of the
custom tree towards the target and back.
Particularly, what i'm trying to do is write a compliant DOM3
implementation in AS3 (much like XMLDocument, but compliant, and
with events, etc), and i'm wondering if i can use the native event
system as is somehow.
