Bill Hunt Jan 31, 2014 9:44 AM (in response to Paul Horowitz)As Curt pointed out, there can be issues with some Audio (and also Video), depending on what the specs. are for the Audio, or Video Stream in those files.
If you run your MTS file through a file info utiltiy, such as G-Spot, or MediaInfo, and can post the Audio specs. of the file, someone might be able to make recommendations on how to handle the Audio - it might be simple, or you might need to convert the file(s) to something that Ps can Import and edit. There are many free conversion programs available, but before anyone just suggests any, it would be best to know exactly what the file contains.
