AC3 is a commercial CoDec and for the majority of users completely irrelevant as an ingest format even in professional video apps. It's 95% a delivery Codec for cinema, DVD and BluRay and you should just not use it, even if your camera may support it. Use plain MPEG-4/ AAC instead.
