          A jQuery Log-in will do nothing unless you have a server-side script to gather and process the form data.   Which leads to the next questions:

          1. Which server-side programming languages are you planning to use for this?
          2. Exactly what do you want to do with the form data?
          3. What, if anything, will the user see once the form data is processed?

            This is just for my assignment to school. I will show you my question. It is not important that much. We can creat any kind of webpage.

            This is my question.

            (Use JavaScript and CSS to create a web page with a modal dialog box to prompt the users for their names. After users have input their name, the webpage will display the input name and the message, “Welcome *** to ourwebsite!” Below is a screenshot to guide you. )

              For the modal box, look at jQuery Fancybox2.

              http://fancyapps.com/fancybox/#examples

              For the log-in form, use this HTML code:

              <form name="input" action="your_form_processing_script.php" method="get">
               Username: <input type="text" name="user">
               <input type="submit" value="Submit">
               </form>

              For all the rest, you're on your own because I don't do people's homework assignments.
