I'm not sure what the etiquitte is for "me too" on this forum, but this does seem like a replay of 126.96.36.199. Perhaps we could use rules modified from the corrected 188.8.131.52 to work for 184.108.40.206. More information here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/6013011
I exported the rules set in the revised 220.127.116.11 catalog, changed the 38s to 44s, imported the new rules to apply to the 18.104.22.168 update, and now things seem to be detecting correctly. The registry key check that the revised 22.214.171.124 update uses is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayerActiveX\Version" = "126.96.36.199". This key value uses periods, not commas.
I'm sorry for the mixup. We're correcting this now and will be uploading a fixed catalog in a few minutes.
I have a problem with 188.8.131.52 on Mac 10.8.5 I am no expert but it seems to just not play anything and keeps getting messages "Flash Player Is Out Of Date".
Hi Chris - thank you for the quick reponse and fix. I have downloaded the updated catalog and am trying it now and no longer see the failed install situation.
