We have a problem with the HTML tags that RoboHelp 10 automatically writes around a symbol when I insert a symbol such as the trademark TM. Is there a way to stop this function? Right now, I am doing a copy and paste from a text file that I created. Here's what I've found in the Help topic file code:
<?rh-symbol_start name="Trademark" ?>™<?rh-symbol_end ?>
We send our Help projects to an outside translation service and the translation software has a problem with something in this tag pair.
Thank you.

There is no way to turn this behaviour off.
As for a workaround, the only think I can think of is to strip out these
tags from your project with a find and replace operation before
delivering the output to your translation agency.
Are you sure that the trademark sign is not the issue here? The tags are
called processing instructions and in XML and XHTML they present
instructions to (specific) processors. So any XML based tool should just
ignore them.
What happens if you change the TM symbol in the HTML by the code
'™'? That is the HTML character encoding for the symbol and should
work in all applications/browsers.
Kind regards,
Willam
