Tried clean install for 10.6; Safari is still not working properly. What next?

I tried the clean install pdf for 10.6 but my Safari is still not displaying properly. Also my earlier question was never answered. What should I try next?

Safari>Reset Safari.

If that doesn't do it, you may be up against a brick wall, because Mac OS X doesn't allow downgrading Plug-ins in Safari. The only option is to use another browser until the next release of Flsh Player and it should install, but this one won't.
