Regardless of what type of video I try load from the add media screen, I can select the video, but once I click open the screen freezes and I have to use the task manager to shut down the program. I can load pictures using the media screen, but not video. Even video created using PrE10 locks up when you try to add it to a video.
I've used this machine and software to create multiple videos and have not upgraded any hardware or added any programs that as far as I know should effect this program. Running Window Xp with SP3. 4G of ram and 100+G of HD space.
Do I need to reload the program, I've updated my video drivers and Java. Any direction you can point me so I can start using my software again would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome to the forum.
Now, when we see an issue with PrE 10, the first question that many of us ask is, "what is the make and model of your video card, and if you have an nVidia GPU, do you have the latest video driver installed?"
The reason for this is that the latest nVidia driver is causing an issue with PrE 10.
Can you tell us about your video card/chip (GPU) and its video driver, to either concentrate on that possibility, or rule it out early?
The pc I'm running is using the Intel Q45/Q43 Express Chipset.
Does that computer also have an Intel GPU, such as an HD3000, or HD4000?
If so, then the nVidia driver Bug w/ PrE 10 should not be the issue.
Thanks for reporting, and good luck,
