    existing mxml file

    BGorbett
      i am trying to modifiy an existing mxml file that was created in flex 2 (from http://www.codeproject.com/aspnet/FlashUpload.asp) but when i load the mxml file in flex 3 i cannot change to design. i get "an unknown item is declared as the root of your mxml document". i just created a new flex application and copied and pasted the existing mxml code into the project mxml (from the flex 2 project that has code-behind actionscript files as well):

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
      <custom:ApplicationClass xmlns:mx=" http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" xmlns:local="*"
      xmlns:custom="components.*" layout="horizontal"
      backgroundAlpha="0" >

      <mx:HBox>
      <mx:VBox width="400" id="fileContainer">
      <mx:VBox id="fileUploadBox" maxHeight="250" width="100%" label="Files to Upload" >
      </mx:VBox>
      <mx:HBox id="uploadStats" width="100%" visible="false">
      <mx:Text text="Total Files:" /><mx:Text id="totalFiles" />
      <mx:Text text="Total Size:" /><mx:Text id="totalSize" />
      </mx:HBox>
      <mx:ProgressBar id="totalProgressBar" width="275" mode="manual" visible="false" />
      </mx:VBox>

      <mx:VBox>
      <mx:Button id="browseButton" label="Add Files" width="100" />
      <mx:Button id="clearButton" label="Clear Files" visible="false" width="100" />
      <mx:Button id="uploadButton" label="Upload Files" visible="false" width="100" />
      <mx:Button id="cancelButton" label="Cancel Upload" visible="false" width="100" />
      <mx:Text id="mytext" />
      </mx:VBox>
      </mx:HBox>
      </custom:ApplicationClass>

      are these types of components no longer supported in flex 3?
