Can you manually move the video from the phone to your hard drive and then just import it into your Premiere Elements project?
Also, do ensure that you have the latest version of Quicktime from Apple.
Unfortunately I cannot move the video from my phone to my hard drive manually. I downloaded the newest version of QuickTime and the problem still persists.

At this point, are you OK with editing your cell phone video in Premiere Elements 12?
From what I have read of your cell phone, you should be using the project preset of
Are you setting the project preset manually before you import the video or letting the program take over the project preset setting task as it does by default?
You can check the project preset that was set by going to Edit Menu/Project Settings/General and seeing what the readings are for Editing Mode, Timebase, Frame Size, and Pixel Aspect Ratio.
Assuming all that is OK, is your video and audio in sync when you play back your video from the Expert workspace Timeline?
If so, great.
